1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 – RS-Style | Built 3.0L | Weber 46s | 5-Speed
This striking 1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 combines classic early-911 styling with a thoroughly developed air-cooled drivetrain. Originally finished in Light Yellow, the car was refinished in Signal Yellow and backdated to 1973 Carrera RS-inspired specifications, including a steel long hood, ducktail spoiler, early-style lighting, and retained factory Carrera 3.0 flares.
The replacement 3.0-liter 930/10 flat-six was professionally built by Rusnak Air-Cooled in 2018–2019 and features Weber 46 IDA carburetors, custom camshafts, 9.5:1 CP pistons, and MSD ignition. A dyno sheet shows 221 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through a 915 five-speed manual transmission equipped with an OS Giken limited-slip differential, Sachs clutch, and stainless-steel headers with a Dansk sport muffler.
The chassis is complemented by 7-inch front and 8-inch rear Fuchs wheels wearing Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tires installed in 2024, green Bilstein shocks, and four-wheel disc brakes. Recent service includes rebuilt front calipers, new pads and rotors, brake fluid flush, transmission service, new tires, and a new battery.
Inside, the car features fixed-back Recaro-style bucket seats, a 1973-style dashboard, RSR-style steering wheel, backdated silver-button instrumentation, deleted rear seats, Sportex rally timers, and Rennline aluminum pedals and toe boards.
The six-digit odometer displays approximately 1,300 miles; true mileage is unknown, and the title carries a “Non-Actual: Odometer Discrepancy” notation.
Accompanied by a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, extensive service records, dyno sheet, and 2026 compression-test results. A distinctive, driver-focused interpretation of the Carrera 3.0 with an impressive mechanical specification and unmistakable early-911 character.
