1970 Porsche 911E Coupe
A highly desirable longhood 911E with a compelling history and extensive documentation. Originally purchased new in Germany by a US Army helicopter pilot, this example was used throughout Europe before returning to the United States. After spending approximately four decades in storage, it underwent a refurbishment that included a rebuild of its 2.2-liter flat-six, resealing of the five-speed gearbox, and a repaint in its original Silver Metallic.
The car features its original-style 2.2-liter Bosch fuel-injected flat-six, five-speed 901 manual transmission with limited-slip differential, four-wheel disc brakes, Fuchs 15" alloy wheels, Recaro sport seats, power sunroof, and Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. The engine was rebuilt in 2016, with subsequent valve adjustment and spark plug service.
Showing approximately 63,000 miles, this 911E is accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, historical photographs, period literature, ownership and service records, a typed history, and a period American overseas license plate. This is a well documented and distinctive example of the 1970 911E.
